I had no downside with the route the Purple Storm took, after Seton Hall requested them pregame if they might. This was their house sport, their enviornment, towards a rival. Instead, Powell will probably be honored at Prudential Heart before Wednesday’s dwelling game against Windfall. Had Powell set the school’s all-time scoring file or reached a major Big East mark, I’d feel in a different way. I’ve seen residence groups handle such situations in several ways. But St. John’s did not owe Powell or Seton Hall anything.
